Anemone is a gorgeous shawl, as fluid, graceful and colorful as the magnificent sea anemones it is named after.
Anemone is a semi-circular shawl, knit from the top down. Each color section showcases a stitch pattern and a particular color palette. Each section flows into the other, connected through texture and color.
The first section is a delicate bobble section. The pink bobbles look like little rose buds on their cream background of garter stitch. After an increase row of eyelets comes a textured section created with easy slip stitches of aqua and coral.
Now comes a section of sea foam stitch in cream and purple, capturing the airiness of the piece. Another section of slip stitches in cream and coral follows right after the eyelet section.
A striking section of purple eyelets animates the shawl. Before you can get bored with the simple lace eyelet design, it is time to move to a very organic check section, and then to rest on a cell stitch section of cream.
The last section of the shawl is a stunning wavy chevron, reminiscent of the sea foam lace. The shawl is finished with an i-cord bind off.
The pattern in available as a free Ravelry download, and we have created a kit with all the gorgeous hand-dyed Merino/Nylon blend yarns included in the shawl.
We hope you will join us and knit our beautiful Anemone.
