Last week was a busy week. Dorian, one of the friendliest knitters I have ever met suggested we yarn bomb a bicycle, a gorgeous 1960's Schwinn that had been sitting unused in his house. The bike has since become my husband's, but that is a different story!
I immediately loved Dorian's idea, and promised to bring all the acrylic yarn I had sitting in a box at at home.
Dorian got to work right away wrapping every part of the bike, while Skye and I crocheted granny squares and flowers. The yarn bombing took a week, but it was worth it. We worked feverishly, wrapping and sewing the squares on and finished just in time for our Stitch and Bitch last Sunday
The bike now sits proudly in front of the shop, and it brings a smile to everyone's face at The Wilmington Old City Market.
