Hand-dyed yarns have a unique beauty. Their colors are vibrant, and deeply saturated, reflecting the touch and style of the dyer and the landscape they see or dream of. I would say, they are yarns with personality!
The indie dyer yarns we carry come from all parts of the United States and the world. Some like Hegehog Fibers come from Ireland, some from Uruguay like Manos, and some from right here, like Wool Artist, Makers Haven, and Hello Fibers.
Some of these dyers have grown to be large operations, but most remain small, one woman operations. I love working with the small indie dyers. I love to give them complete creative freedom with their colorways. I let them surprise me!
Each time they bring me a batch of yarns, I feel inspired to create unique designs with their yarns. My upcoming design for April will showcase the work of these talented artists!
The new pattern, a shawl, will be announced in the April Newsletter!
